So Long Stardust...

The Stardust opened in 1958, and it's lifespan is now been reduced to a matter of hours. One of the few remaining remnants of 'Old' Vegas will be imploded tonight, sometime between 1 and 5 AM Las Vegas time.

We are fans of progress here at VegasRy, and lately we haven't really given the older places much thought with the multi-billion dollar joints just down the street. However with it's it's fascinating past and role in the book and movie Casino, we pause to acknowledge it's place in Vegas history.

We will post video of the implosion as soon as it's available
