Breaking News: Don Cheadle Owns Phil Ivey

When Phil Ivey drew the Ocean's 11 star, Don Cheadle in the 2007 NBC National Heads Up Poker Championships this week, there was no question about who was the favorite. Despite heads up poker being a game of high variance, Ivey was an overwelming favorite and Cheadle was very grim about his chances. Cheadle built an early lead, but Ivey fought back to take a 2-1 chip advantage. Shortly thereafter, Cheadle doubled up and the game was on. In the end though, Cheadle's QJ held off Ivey's Q7 at Caesar's last night. Cheadle will meet 2-time WSOP bracelet winner Scott Fischman in the next round. In other news, Daniel Negreanu was also eliminated in the first round by nemesis and friend Mike "the Mouth" Matusow. Matusow led nearly the entire way of this all-in fest. Stay tuned for more updates...
